Congratulations to SPLAT on being selected as finalists for West Lothian Council’s Celebrating Success 2006.

Celebrating Success is a Council wide initiative set up to recognise new and successful projects.

Arts Service’s application demonstrated how SPLAT focused on customers’ needs. SPLAT exhibition transformed the walls of Strathbrock Partnership Centre into an art gallery with 120 original works displayed. This has given the 500 members of the participating art groups permanent but flexible exhibition space to display and sell their work. It has improved facilities, resources, public profile and has strengthened support for the development of visual art across West Lothian.

This is an outstanding achievement for SPLAT as the volume of high quality submissions for this year’s Celebrating Success Award was overwhelming.

Lets keep our fingers crossed for the final which will take play on Friday 18 August. We will keep you posted.
