Low Port Art Club
A self-help group of 21 amateur artists meet on Tuesdays 7-9 pm in the North Hut at Low Port Centre, Linlithgow. They dabble in watercolours, acrylics, pastels, and oils, and paintings can range from local scenes such as the canal basin, loch, and palace, to still life.
To help develop the group, there is a short term professional tutor and workshops are held.
There is also a summer outdoor programme to increase individual drawing skills and social interaction. An annual exhibition is held over a weekend in April or May at the Burgh Halls and is also a very popular venue for visitors to this historical town. Buyers have included several overseas visitors from Australia and Canada.
